We made it to Alpine
What a day we had. It started with rain at the ocean for the tire dipping ceremony and we had rain off and on all day. Including a little thunder clap over our heads as we were climbing the umpteenth hill. We did 3000 ft of climbing and got in around 2:00pm and just ate snacks,no lunch. The mileage was 37 miles and we are tired. We immediately went to Carl Jr's for a burger and hot coffee as the temperature had dropped into 40's in Alpine. No pictures as we were just trying to survive today.

Wendy and Gail,
ReplyDeleteConnie and I are so pleased to learn of your progress. We are quite familiar with the San Diego - Alpine area as well as other places you will pass through in So Ca, as we lived and traveled by car through much of the area when we lived in the area. Stay healthy, strong and safe throughout your riding. We will keep following you on a daily basis.
Doug and Connie
Gail and Wendy, you're an inspiration to the rest of us who are merely sitting comfortably at home and reading about your grand adventure! May you keep the rubber side down and may the winds be behind your back.
