Silver City to Kingston, aka Emory Pass

Due to service in Kingston I was unable to post yesterday. Well, that's one reason the other was the ride. Yikes, it was really hard😱! The was about 47.7 miles, not very long but we climbed just under 5000 cumulative feet. So all we did was climb! I was going so slow I could study fallen rocks with great intensity. Helen joined Wendy and I and we called ourselves the 3 turtles, fun. Then came the downhill. It was 8 miles down. You can do the math to see how steep that was. There is a pix of Wendy at the top and also Emory Pass itself. One showing the marker that's a bit off, I was a bit tired there. The last is one of the lodge where we stayed, a funky fun place.

  1. Hey, that's a good climb, even for us mountain bikers!
